Natural remedies for hangovers – vitamin C, chamomile, ginger, B vitamins

Posted on November 16, 2022

Hangovers are not unknown to many people. Headaches, stomach upsets, dizziness and nausea are all part and parcel of catnaps. Of course, it would be ideal if you didn’t get a hangover, but it can also happen if you hardly drink alcohol all year round, then have a few drinks at a birthday party and your body reacts to the alcohol with a hangover. What can be done? What solutions are there to alleviate the symptoms? Here are the answers!

Alcohol has a diuretic effect, which means that it can cause dehydration very quickly and easily. Perhaps it is no coincidence that after a night of drinking, you feel thirsty the next morning. Even if you don’t feel like it, you should still drink water, as hydration speeds up the healing process.

Don’t forget to eat nutrient-rich foods, which will help the body metabolise alcohol more quickly. Nutrient-rich, slightly fatty foods are recommended, as a hangover can also lower blood sugar levels, but a hearty breakfast is also a great way to control blood sugar. Malaise can also be caused by blood pressure fluctuations, so a banana is a good way to control blood pressure, as it contains high levels of potassium and magnesium.

Ginger can help with nausea, soothing the stomach, reducing stomach upset and relieving the nausea and nausea that are so common in hangovers.

One of the symptoms of a hangover is anxiety. To counteract this, make a cup of chamomile tea, which is both calming and a great anxiety reliever.

Hangovers aren’t exactly an energy booster, so it’s important to find a way to restore your energy levels. You can do this with B vitamins. B vitamins are very useful in cases of fatigue and low energy. It’s best to eat eggs for breakfast.

It’s also good to strengthen your immune system after a night of sleep, and vitamin C can help with that. Squeeze some orange juice and drink it to boost your immune system with this great antioxidant. Vitamin C successfully boosts the body’s defences.
