Effective immune system boosters

Posted on November 16, 2022

A key role of the immune system is to help protect us against a variety of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses and fungi. We can do a lot ourselves to strengthen our immune system. Here are some ways to strengthen your immune system!

If we get stressed and stressed out a lot, our immune system can be significantly suppressed. What can we do? Get plenty of rest. Regular exercise, deep breathing techniques and meditation can also help a lot to reduce stress and relieve it.

There have been many studies on how loneliness and social isolation can be detrimental to health, including immune health. That is why it is so important to keep in touch with friends and family and to organise regular activities with them.

Try to stay optimistic and positive, as a positive attitude can also improve the state of your immune system.

Laughter has been shown to be very effective in boosting the immune system. Cheerfulness also allows us to avoid diseases.

Vegetables and fruits are full of antioxidant compounds. The primary function of antioxidants is to fight against free radicals that build up in the body. By doing this, they allow us to avoid disease. The more brightly coloured fruits and vegetables we eat regularly, the better our body’s defences will be.

Vitamins are also essential ‘must-haves’ for good immune function. What vitamins does our immune system need? For example, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D and vitamin E. Don’t forget minerals, for example, we need zinc, magnesium and selenium to maintain immune health. These minerals are involved in many enzyme reactions.

Try to avoid processed foods, as they are empty calories for the body and do not contain the nutrients the body needs.

There are herbs that play an active role in boosting immunity. These include ginseng, garlic, marjoram, cumin, green tea and liquorice.
