Not everyone wants to drink alcoholic beverages at Christmas – or any holiday. Even on this wonderful holiday, you can still drink drinks and cocktails that don’t contain a millilitre of alcohol, but are packed with nutrient-rich, healthy ingredients. Below we share some drink recipes with our readers. We’ve included some of the flavour combinations below, so that you have plenty of time to get the ingredients and maybe try them out in advance.
Ginger cranberry juice
Ingredients:
1 dl cranberry juice
1 dl cranberry juice
1 finger of fresh ginger, thinly sliced or grated
2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
fresh blueberries
fresh rosemary sprig
Preparation:
Pour the cranberry juice into a glass, then add the cranberry juice, grated ginger and chopped rosemary. Chill and serve with ice cubes, garnish the glass and the drink with cranberries and rosemary sprigs.
Punch with pineapple and orange
Ingredients:
half dl orange juice
half dl pineapple juice
juice of half a lime
2 tablespoons coconut milk
Preparation:
Mix the cocktail ingredients. Put crushed ice in a glass and pour this delicious drink over it.
Pour a glass of mulled wine without wine
Ingredients:
2 small organic oranges
2 litres of grape juice
2 cinnamon sticks
3 star anise
4 cloves
1 pinch of nutmeg
orange rings and cranberries
Preparation:
Pour the two litres of grape juice into a pot. Heat over a low heat and add the zested oranges, grated peel, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves and nutmeg. Bring the “wine” to the boil, then strain and pour into a jug. When you have filled a glass, garnish with orange rings and cranberries.
Christmas coffee spiced
Ingredients:
1 portion of freshly brewed coffee
1 cinnamon stick
A quarter teaspoon of ground cloves
1 organic orange zest
1 pinch of ground nutmeg
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 teaspoon coconut milk powder
Preparation:
Pour the coffee into a pot, then add the cinnamon stick, ground cloves, grated zest of the organic orange and pinch of nutmeg. Bring to the boil, then strain. Serve with a pinch of cinnamon and coconut milk powder.
