Research shows that there are foods that can be of great help in extending our lives. These foods contain many valuable nutrients that can help prevent certain diseases. These include cancers and heart disease, which are leading causes of death not only in our country but worldwide.

This is why the following foods, listed below, are called life-extending foods, because regular consumption of these foods can help prevent these diseases and lead to a longer and more meaningful life. Here are some of these wonderful foods from nature!

Lentils, beans and peas belong to the legume group. These foods are virtually free of saturated fats and cholesterol, making them very healthy. As well as being extremely nutrient-rich, with high levels of protein, magnesium, calcium, iron and potassium, they make for a very varied diet.

Flaxseed is a healthy plant that contains a lot of fibre. Flaxseed oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are good for heart health, reduce inflammation in the body and protect the brain by slowing down the ageing process.

Like most oily fish, salmon is a great life extender. Not only is it an excellent source of protein, but it also contains high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which give longevity by reducing fatty deposits in the arteries, i.e. it does not clog the arteries, so it can actually protect us not only from heart disease and heart attack, but also from stroke.

Spinach is very rich in calcium, so it is actively involved in increasing bone density. It also contains high levels of magnesium, making it a very effective food for muscle growth, but it can also ensure proper heart function. It is also rich in vitamins A and E, which are antioxidant vitamins and essential for cell growth.

Goji berries have been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. This fruit also prolongs life by improving liver, kidney and eye function. It is also extremely rich in vitamins A and C, and contains a lot of fibre, which in turn protects the health of the digestive system.
