The health benefits of tea – something you may not have heard about

People all over the world have been drinking tea for thousands of years. Numerous studies have reported that lots of tea can help boost the immune system, reduce inflammation in the body, reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease. Let’s see what teas to drink to stay healthy for a long time!

White tea originated in China and India. Research shows that this tea is the most effective in the fight against cancer, and it owes this effect to its high antioxidant content. White tea contains catechins and tannins, which strengthen teeth.

Among the herbal teas, chamomile tea has outstanding effects, as it reduces muscle spasms, improves sleep, relaxation and can also help reduce stress.

Peppermint tea contains menthol, which cures irritable bowel syndrome and can be effective in treating constipation. It is also known to have analgesic effects. So if you have a headache or a migraine, just sip a cup of peppermint tea.

Green tea from China is high in flavonoids, which can help boost heart health by reducing blood cholesterol and blood clotting. Green tea also lowers blood pressure and triglyceride levels.

Black tea also contains caffeine, but it is also very high in flavonoids, which are effective in fighting inflammation and play a prominent role in maintaining a healthy immune system.

Oolong tea is also a traditional Chinese tea. Oolong tea contains high levels of L-theanine, an excellent antioxidant, an amino acid that reduces anxiety and increases alertness, and also helps prevent cognitive decline. Its high polyphenol content reduces inflammation, which may prevent the risk of type 2 diabetes and cancer.
